Kemal Dincer to Sportando: 'Mike Batiste will stay in Fenerbahce for the season'

Over the latest days, many rumors circulated around the future of Mike Batiste. The American big man left Greek Panathinaikos last summer moving to Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul.
Batiste in his first months in Turkey is not repeating the great performances had with PAO but Fenerbahce has no intention to part ways with him. And Kemal Dincer in a phone call confirmed it to Sportando.

"Mike Batiste will stay with us for the season" Fenerbahce's GM told to Sportando. "We strongly believe in him. He is a great and experienced player and a fundamental piece of our roster" added Dincer.
"Simone Pianigiani and the coaching staff want him to stay until the end of the season. They firmly think that Batiste with his experience will be our key player for the Euroleague Top 16. Pianigiani loves his attitude, his skills. We turned down all the offers for Mike Batiste and we have never thought about parting ways with him" ended Kemal Dincer.

With Batiste staying in Fenerbahce, the arrival of Shelden Williams to Bosphorus is very unlikely. Shelden Williams will finish the season with Elan Chalon unless the French team won't find other European clubs interested in acquiring him behind a payment of a €350.000 buyout.
