Ergin Ataman: 'Lakovic is working with us but he is not in our plans'

Ergin Ataman talked to Galatasaray official website on Jaka Lakovic and Josh Shipp. The coach of Galatasaray said that Lakovic is still under contract but he is not in the club's plans.
"He is working with us. We like him. We have talked several time with him. Lakovic and Shipp are great players with an important career. But during the summer we have chosen Domercant and Hawkins in their roles. We thought he would have gotten some offers but he did not receive the right proposal. We are waiting. He could have signed in Kuban or Kazan but both deals failed. He has one more year with us, at €1M. Our budget is high but we would avoid pay his entire salary. Lakovic can practice with us and be our sixth foreigner for the Cup. About Shipp, he is on tryout with Efes. But if they want him, they have to pay us" said Ataman.
