Cedric Banks inks with Turk Telekom Ankara

Cedrick Banks who played in France at a high level for more than five seasons moved today to Ankara, Turkey and signed with Turk Telekom. Banks, last season, took his French club Orleans Loiret Basket to the semifinals and averaged 14.4 points per game and 2.8 assists during the regular season while shooting 53% from the field, 36% from the three and 87% from the free throw line. Banks scored 29 points in the game that would have taken Orleans once again to the French Championship before being defeated in the last seconds by Chalon. Cedrick Banks is not new to the French Championship. He played in the Championship as the French Regular Season Champion in 2007 and then again with Orleans Loiret in 2010. He also won the French Cup in 2010. Banks is set to be the starting combo guard for Turk Telekom in the prestigious Turkish Basketball League where they open the regular season against the reigning Turkish Champions and Eurochallenge Championship team Besiktas.
