Pianigiani-Dalmonte, an Italian duo for Fenerbahce?
Arrivano conferme sul prossimo sbarco sulle rive del Bosforo dei due italiani
The deal is not official yet. Simone Pianigiani won yesterday his sixth Italian title in six seasons as head coach of Mens Sana Siena and has one more year on the contract with Montepaschi. The Italian coach will talk with the president, Ferdinando Minucci, in the coming days and they will decide the future.
Mens Sana will start a new project from the summer and Pianigiani, in the press conference after the win in Italy (first club in the history to win six consecutive titles), made the audience realize that his experience in Siena is almost over.
Today an important European agent and Turkish sources confirmed to us that the future of Simone Pianigiani will likely be in Turkey with Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul.
The Turkish powerhouse is starting a new project after two seasons not up to expectations with Neven Spahija and Pianigiani, who coaches also the Italian National Team, is the right name to build a new era in Fenerbahce.
The target of Fenerbahce is to win TBL and to reach the Euroleague Final Four. With Pianigiani could arrive also Luca Dalmonte as assistant coach.
Dalmonte led Pesaro to the Semifinals in Serie A and the club didn't pick up the option for the coming season due to some financial difficulties. Dalmonte is also Pianigiani's assistant coach in the National Team.
