Mehmet Okur agreed to terms with Turk Telekom Ankara
Il lungo raggiunge un accordo fino al termine del lockout
After Ersan Ilyasova, another Turkish player decided to return to his home country during the NBA lockout: Mehmet Okur. The big man agreed to terms for one year with an NBA out for when the new collective bargaining agreement will be ratified.
Okur has played nine years in the NBA with Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz averaging 13.7ppg, 7.1rpog and 1.7apg over 617 games. Okur has played just 13 games last year due to a serious Achilles Tendon injury which sidelined him during the playoffs in 2010 and obliged him to miss FIBA World Championship 2010 in Turkey. Okur averaged just 4.9ppg and 2.3rpg in 2010-11.
