Anadolu Efes grabs Dogus Balbay

Anadolu Efes Istanbul made official the addition of young guard Dogus Balbay for the next three seasons. Balbay (1.85 meters, 22 years old) arrives from the NCAA as he played for the Univeristy of Texas. Last season he averaged 4.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 36 games. He was also named Most Valuable Student in the 2011 class among foreign students. Balbay started playing with Fenerbahce Ulker of Istanbul and after two years there from 2004 to 2006, he moved to the United States to study. Once there, he joined Brewster Academy where he averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 assists. In 2007 he joined Texas University until now.
