Fenerbahce extends with Emir Preldzic

One of the most versatile players in European basketball is set to keep playing for his current team, as Fenerbahce Ulker extended swingman Emir Preldzic until the end of the 2013-14 season, the club announced Monday. Preldzic (206, 23) is in his fourth season with Fenerbahce and has helped the team to win three consecutive Turkish League titles from 2008 to 2010. Preldzic has also lifted back-to-back Turkish Cup titles in 2010 and 2011. He led Fener to win the Turkish Cup this season with 35 points on 7-of-9 two-pointers, 5-of-7 three-pointers and 6-of-7 free throws in just 25 minutes in his team's 72-81 win in the final against Besiktas Cola Turka. Preldzic is averaging 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2 assists in 15 Euroleague games this season. He has boosted his numbers up to 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3 assists in the Top 16.
