Anadolu Efes's Derrick Brown has a contract but will not be on the roster next year
General Director of Anadolu Efes made some statements about next season.
Alper Yılmaz, General Director of Anadolu Efes, answered BasketFaul's questions about new season. Efes establishing a demanding roster for next year.
Yılmaz, ''Last year we won the Turkish Cup. Two years ago we missed Euroleague Final-Four at the last game. This season of course our main goal is to reach Final-Four which we missed since 2009. We are the only team increased its budget for the next year in today's economic conditions. I hope we get in return for this. Our management made so many sacrifices and increase the budget around %25 so we built a better team. Our first goal is The Presidential Cup and then we going to try to be in the best place in EuroLeague and BSL.''
Yılmaz talked about the roster of the new season and, ''Darüşşafaka wanted 1 Million $ buyout for Scottie Wilbekin and this price was going to be 2.5 Million $ with the salary of him. Shane Larkin is cheaper, Malcolm Delaney is cheaper than him. We are going to get a foreign big man and gonna complete the roster. If everything goes well, this guy will be Tibor Pleiss. His condition become clear on Monday or Tuesday. Derrick Brown has an agreement for next year but he won't be on the roster.''
