Turkey not interested anymore in hosting the World Cup
Turkey announced that they have withdrawn their candidature to host the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
Turkey was one of candidates to host the World Cup in 2023.
“We want to use the budget to improve and create new basketball centers and to develop the basketball in the entire nation. As well as the development of our clubs”.
The candidates to host the World Cup in 2023 remain: Russia, Argentina/Uruguay, Japan/Philippines/Indonesia.
