Nicolo Melli: '' I Will Cut Datome's Beard''
Fenerbahçe Doğuş newcomer, Nicolo Melli said that he will cut Gigi Datome's beard if they win the Euroleague title
Fenerbahçe Doğuş Newcomer from Brose Bamberg, Italian Nicolo Melli made some statements to AA reporter.
Experienced player said that he would never cut his hair if they win EuroLeague title when they told him that Datome's haircut after the 2016-17 EuroLeague title.
Melli said: '' If we win the EuroLeague title, i will cut Datome's beard. Last time he cut his hair, this time he will lose his beard. ''
In his last statements Datome told that he would cut his beard only if they win the NBA title.
Melli said that he got so much attention from Fenerbahçe fans on social media.
He remembered that he came to Ülker Sports Arena as an opponent and '' Fenerbahçe has great fans. When i started to negotiate with Fenerbahçe, fans paid so much attention in April-May. Fans connected me on social media. I got a lot of support. We will also feel their support when the season starts.''
The team also welcomed me in perfect way and '' I attended to the team in Zadar Cup because of the 2017 EuroBasket. They welcomed me. It was a great start for me.''
Nicolo Melli also said that every team preparing well for Fenerbahçe games and '' This year it will be different and tough. We are the last EuroLeague Champions and they will get motivated better for our games. We are aware of this.''
