Raznatovic on Ante Zizic's future: I want him to go the NBA as soon as possibile
Ante Zizic just moved to Darussafaka
Misko Raznatovic spoke with Sasa Ozmo also about Ante Zizic. The Croatian big man just moved to Darussafaka Dogus but the goal for him is to go to the NBA as soon as possible, likely from next summer. Zizic was selected in the first round of the 2016 NBA draft.
This is what Raznatovic, owner of Beobasket, said about Ante Zizic on SportKlub.rs.
"His signing with Darussafaka is absolutely not an obstacle for him to go to the NBA next year, if it were, the transfer wouldn’t have happened. Zizic will be dominant in the NBA and I want him to go there as soon as possible – next year he will be 20, so that’s it.
As for his impact in Darussafaka, I will give an example – they have beaten Fenerbahce and their big men (Savas, Aldemir, Erdeb) scored 3 points combined, while Slaughter is injured. That is a team that relies mainly on guards and forwards.
I will tell you a little story – as a kid, Ante went on a try-out with Maccabi alongside Dragan Bender. At the time, David Blatt was more impressed with Zizic than with Bender, so he remembers him from back then. Maybe it is a bit odd to bring a 19 year old in the middle of the season and expect immediate impact on the court, but Zizic is totally ready to make that impact and give necessary contribution, both mentally and physically."
