Omer Yurtseven withdrawn from Turkish U18 NT preliminary roster for Schweitzer tournament

Strange decision by Turkish federation

BSL

As reported by CNN Turk, young prospect Omer Yurtseven has been withdrawn from Turkish U18 NT preliminary roster for Albert Schweitzer tournament, one of the most important youth tournament in the world. Yurtseven was in the list for the camp but then he wasn't invited and wasn't a part of team photo today.

There are some speculation that Fenerbahce is trying to put pressure on the player to change his mind about his future. Yurtseven, in fact, decided to not sign a pro contract with Fenerbahce and wants to play in NCAA next season. Fenerbahce was very pissed off by the kid's decision and made some very strong critics against him. Albert Schweitzer tournament is one of the top events in youth basketball and a lot of NBA scouts go there to watch the prospects, so Yurtseven will lose a very important opportunity.

In the summer, Enes Kanter was not called, most probably, because of his close relations with the biggest enemy, once friend, of Erdogan.
And now this...when will we learn to make sports just for the sake of it? No politics, no sending messages whatever. Just let who deserves it play.

If the rumours (that Fener forced federation to make that decision) are true,it's a huge scandal. If those are true, some officials from federation should resign
