Coach Obradovic on Omer Yurtseven: 'He doesn't care about this team'

Yurtseven is in Toronto for the NBA Global Camp

BSL

Last night Fenerbahce won easily against Unicaja Malaga but in the post game conference coach Obradovic was furious. The reason of all this was Omer Yurtseven. The young talent didn't play the game because he went to Toronto to attend the Global Camp with a lot of great prospects of his age. Obradovic said that Yurtseven didn't consult the team about this decision and left the squad without saying good luck to his teammates.

"Let me tell you something about Yurtseven," Obradovic said. "He doesn't care about this team, he only cares about himself. He went to Toronto and didn't consult the team. We have some injured players but he never asked to me if it was ok for him to leave."

The future of Yurtseven with Fenerbahce looks over: "We offered him a five-year contract, a very big contract," Obradovic continued. "He said that he needed to think about it. He thought for two months and then said to us that he wasn't going to sign. We gave him a lot of trust, because we thought he was our future. Do you know any other 17yrs old kid that play so much minutes? Only Doncic with Real. I don't know what he's thinking about, does he wants to play in NCAA? He took the money in the last three years and now he wants to leave. That's him."

its just like Enes Kanter story he was playing in Fenerbahce and Fenerbahce was paying him but he wanted to go to america and it wasn't possible. But enes didn't listen to them he went to america. 2 years he couldn't play. Fenerbahce president said stay in Fenerbahce you can't play at ncaa. When you come 21-22 years then you can go to nba. He missed 2 years at America and this story similar to that

story is like this: Fenerbahce made a new team this summer because of they obra wanted to give time to the young players. So Fenerbahce has got 3 big men(vesely-udoh-antic) except Omer. Fenerbahce needs a big man but because of Omer fenerbahce didn't make transfer to that position which means omer is important part of this team. After all Fenerbahce offered 5 year contract to Omer but he rejected because he wanted to go to ncaa but he is not able to play in ncaa because fenerbahce pays him. This week Antic was off and Fenerbahce had got 2 big men and Omer has gone to the organization in the Canada and he never said you got an injured so if you want i can stay for Malaga match. that why Obra angry with him. He always think himself. Fenerbahce is nothing for him(this is what Obra said)

If we talk about centers of 97-98 class, Zubac and Papagiannis are far more better centers than Omer. He lacks both the height and size in comparison to them. You better make some research rather than relying on a friend of your friend.
