Nick Calathes and Milos Teodosic in Fenerbahce's wishlist for summer
Fenerbahce will try to sign a first class point guard for next season
Fenerbahce, who confirmed Zeljko Obradovic for two more seasons and is trying to keep Nemanja Bjelica, has as main goal for the summer to sign a first class point guard.
Two are the players in Fenerbahce wishlist: Nick Calathes and Milos Teodosic.
Calathes will likely leave the NBA after two seasons with the Grizzlies. The American-Greek point guard was close to returning to Europe last summer but Memphis picked up the option for the current season. The Grizzlies can extend to Calathes a $1.1 qualifying offer but he will make more money returning to Europe. Fenerbahce talked with the Greek International also last summer and Calathes is expected to be pursued by several teams in the Old Continent.
The second name is Milos Teodosic.
The new captain of the Serbian National Team signed last summer a three-year, rich contract extension with CSKA Moscow. But after the failure in the Euroleague Final Four, it is not clear which are the future plans of the Russian powerhouse. And Fenerbahce is one of the few teams in Europe who can afford Milos Teodosic’s contract.
It is sure that for Fenerbahce the summer is going to be “hot” to build a team to be one of the contenders in Euroleague.
