Galatasaray is emerging as frontrunner to sign Samardo Samuels
The Turkish powerhouse is building the future
After a very difficult season (tragic in some aspects) Galatasaray is quickly rebuilding itself. The Turkish powerhouse is close to the election of a new president and is discussing with new sponsors to raise a competitive budget.
There are lots of chances for Dursun Ozbek to become the new president of the team. He considers Samardo Samuels one of the key points to start the construction of the new roster.
There are pros and cons. Samuels emerged as an important piece of the chessboard in Italy, giving to Milan an offensive dimension under the boards that the Italian team struggled to have in the years before. The point is it's difficult to understand if Galatasaray will play in Euroleague next season (they have to defeat Fenerbahce in first round of TBL playoffs and reach the Finals or hope Euroleague can grant them one of the 4 Wild Cards available).
Samuels will be free agent next summer, Milano wishes to keep him but they have to increase his salary to convince him to stay. There are still no signs about how much Milano is willing to invest.
Samuels loves the city and wishes to stay in Italy. The two sides will discuss after the end of the season.
