Shane Lawal declined offer to join Galatasaray
The big man for Sassari opted to remain in Italy with the league's No.1
Turkish team Galatasaray have reached out to 28-year-old center Shane Lawal for immediate recruit, according to sources.
Lawal, a 6-foot-10 big man for Italian club Sassari, opted against leaving his current situation with No. 1 seed, I'm told.
Lawal is averaging 8.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game over 25 minutes in the Italian League. He's posting solid numbers in the Euroleague action with 10 points and 6.5 boards in 22 minutes through six games.
Galatasaray coach Ergin Ataman was quoted saying, "all of our players but Carlos Arroyo are free to leave."
The Turkish club is currently tied for the No. 2 seed in the TBL League, however, multiple of the team's players and coaching staff have gone unpaid for the majority of the season. Thus, forcing team personnel to file law suits against the team.
