Besiktas signs forward Topaloglu
The player signed for two seasons
Besiktas JK Istanbul added experience to its roster by inking small forward Caner Topaloglu to a two-year deal on Thursday. Topaloglu (1.98 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Pinar Karsiyaka, where he averaged 4.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 30 Turkish League games last season. He helped Karsiyaka reach the EuroChallenge title game. Topaloglu has also played for several Turkish teams such as Ulker Istanbul, Galatasaray Istanbul, Banvit Bandirma, Buyuk Kolej Ankara and Yesilyurt Istanbul throughout his career. He helped Banvit make it to the 2007 Turkish Cup final and reached the Turkish League finals with Galatasaray in 2011. Topaloglu has also been a member of the Turkish U16, U18 and U21 national teams. He accumulates 20 games of Eurocup experience with Galatasaray from 2009 to 2011.
