One year of Sport...ando

sportando.com celebrates its first year of life and we want to give you some stats regarding the first 365 days together.

The project sportando.com - Five Stars Basket started 365 days ago with me, Emiliano Carchia and the webmaster Matteo Manna. During the year two more collaborators joined our staff, Marco Marasca and Simone Maggioni.

Talking about numbers, in a year we wrote 5.216 news in Italian and around 5.000 in English. Our strong point is the basket market (rumors and signings) and we had the most contacts during the summer.

Totally sportando.com had 414.353 visits; 994.417 pagevies with 2.40 pages/visit. The averaged time on site is 02:11.

The website had 115.299 visitors. We started with 2 visits and we reached 'quota' 5.919 the 5th of August having more than 4.000 visits in 27 days between the 30th of June and the 7th of August.

Visits arrived from 155 nations with Italy in first position with 279.624. Second is Spain with 24.744, third are USA with 22.958, then Germany, Lithuania, Greece, Serbia, France, Poland and Israel in the first ten positions.

The most viewed page is the home page in Italian with 229.536 contacts, then the Basketmercato page with 94.294 and third the home page in English with 86.719.

The most read news was 'Petravicius è di Milano' with 1.451 visits. In English the most read news is 'Manresa agreed to terms with Nivins' with 1.284 readers.

We had a lot of referring sites with the friends from Basketforum which took us 17.038 visits. Excluding the forums, we had referring sites as ACB with 3.501 contacts, 2.416 from Facebook, 2.062 from a such important site as HoopsHype, 1.653 from Eurobasket.com, 678 from Basketme, 651 from MyEspn, 642 from Wikipedia, 610 from Bulgarianbasket, 580 from Sports.ru, 481 from Eurobasket.lt, 474 from Realgm (in the first 50 positions). Totally sportando.com had 658 referring sites.

The keywords have been Sportando, Basket Mercato and Basketmercato.

The stats surprised us but our target is to have more readers during the second year of lige. The passion is our only strength.
