Gigi Datome confirmed that he will be playing for Italy’s National Team in September in the two games with Poland and Hungary for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.
“I will play. I have talked with coach Meo Sacchetti. I thank him because he understood that my absence in June was not a whim but the need to rest after a long season where I have played more than 100 games. Now I am good and very happy to wear Italy’s National Team jersey again” Datome told Il Corriere dello Sport.
