Some teams are already assured of spots in the Second Round of the European Qualifiers. Many others will try to claim their places this week when the third window tips off.

While it’s important to remember that the top three teams in each of the eight groups will progress to the Second Round, it bears repeating that teams need to win as many games as they can since all results carry over.

The third window is even more exciting with every team still having a chance to progress!

Spain have already sealed a spot in the Second Round.

Slovenia need one win in the third window to advance. Even with two losses, they would still have a chance, depending on the results of other games.

Montenegro will be in the Second Round if they defeat Belarus on Thursday.

Belarus must win their game against Montenegro to have a chance of progressing.

Ukraine are in a strong position to advance. They need one win in their last two games to reach the Second Round. However, they can finish fourth if they lose both games while Sweden win both of theirs (it will depend on points difference).

Even if Turkey beat Ukraine on Thursday, it may not be enough to advance to the Second Round if, in the meantime, Sweden defeat Latvia. If Turkey were to lose their second game against Sweden and Latvia were to beat Ukraine, it would depend on points difference.

Latvia are 100% in the Second Round if they beat Sweden on Thursday.

Sweden need at least one win in their last two games to have a chance of advancing. If they lose to Latvia, they can still advance if Turkey lose both of their games.

Lithuania have already secured their spot in the Second Round.

Poland need one win in the third window to advance. Even with two losses, they would still have a chance, depending on the results of other games and point difference.

Hungary need one win in the third window to advance. Even with two losses, they would still have a chance, depending on the results of other games and point difference.

Kosovo need two wins to have a chance of progressing, although that might not be enough.

Italy have sealed their place in the Second Round.

Romania need one win from their last two First Round games to advance.

Netherlands need two wins to be assured of advancing although one win might be enough depending on other results and points difference.

Croatia's destiny is in their own hands as they will be assured of advancing by winning two games. One victory might be enough depending on other results and points difference.

France have already punched their ticket to the Second Round.

Russia need one win in the third window to advance. Even with two losses, they would still have a chance, depending on the results of other games and point difference.

Bosnia and Herzegovina need one win in the third window to advance. Even with two losses, they would still have a chance, depending on the results of other games and point difference.

Belgium need two wins to have a chance of progressing to the Second Round and even that might not be enough.

Czech Republic are in a strong position to advance with one win in the third window good enough to seal their Second Round place.  They can only finish fourth if they lose both games, coupled with a win for Bulgaria over Iceland and a triumph for Iceland over Finland (it will depend on point difference).

Iceland will clinch their Second Round place with a victory over Bulgaria. However, if they only beat Finland, that may not be enough if the Czechs lose two games (it will depend on point difference).

Finland will seal their spot in the Second Round with a win at the Czech Republic on Friday.

Bulgaria need to beat Iceland on Friday to have a chance of progressing.

Germany have already clinched a spot in the Second Round.

Serbia have sealed their place in the Second Round.

Georgia control their own destiny with two wins good enough to get them in the Second Round. If they fall at home to Serbia on Friday, their clash with Austria would be a do-or-die game to determine who of the two advances.

Austria's fate is tied to Georgia's result: in order to have a decider game against Georgia, they must at least match their result in the first game (if Georgia beat Serbia, Austria must defeat Germany).

Greece have secured their place in the Second Round of Qualifiers.

Israel need one win in the third window to advance. Even with two losses, they would still have a chance, depending on the results of other games and point difference.

Estonia need one win in the third window to advance. Even with two losses, they would still have a chance, depending on the results of other games and point difference.

Great Britain must have wins against Estonia and Israel to have a chance of advancing but it might not be enough.
