Niccolò Mannion has been name to Italy’s National Team preliminary squad for FIBA World Cup Qualifiers against Croatia and Holland.
The young point guard born in 2001 is expected to make his debut with Italy in one of the two games, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
If Mannion, born in Siena on March 17 2001 and son of former basketball player Pace Mannion and Italian volleyball player Gaia Bianchi, makes his debut with Italy, he will be “Italian” also for FIBA and won’t be able to play for Team USA in the future.
