Gigi Datome: 'I won't play in WC qualifiers'

Fenerbahce forward Gigi Datome announced on Facebook his decision to not play in WC qualifiers with Italian NT. This is an extract from Datome's post:

"I think that FIBA windows during the year are a bad idea," Datome wrote. "FIBA has wanted to insert these windows during the year without an agreement with the club, the teams that pay the players. Fenerbahce is not saying to me that I cannot play with my National team but I have a work to do with Fenerbahce and to play with my national team I should miss Euroleague games that can be crucial for the future of my team. FIBA earns money from the qualifiers, while the players, that don't get any money with NTs, should renounce to play with their club, that pay their salaries"
