Reyer Venezia close to Andre Barrett

Reyer Venezia, in Italian Legadue, lost for injury Dawan Robinson before he could make his debut, is close to signing former NBA player Andre Barrett.

Barrett has spent four seasons with six different clubs in the NBA playing a total of 67 games for Houston, Orlando, Phoenix, Toronto, Chicago and the Los Angeles Clippers. Barrett became a top prospect at Seton Hall University, where he averaged 15.3 points and 5.4 assists over four seasons between 2000 and 2004.

Last season Barrett had a very difficult year in Europe with Barcelona averaging 3.6ppg in 14 Euroleague games and finishing often out of the rotation of the Spanish powerhouse.

In the current season the guard has played 8 games in NBDL with Idaho Stampede averaging 18.1ppg and 8.6apg.
