Vigevano promoted to Lega 2

Defeating yesterday night Latina 83-71 in Game 4 of the Final Series, MiroRadici Finance Vigevano won the playoff 3-1 and is the 2009 A dilettanti champion team. Vigevano will play in Lega 2 next season, and should inaugurate its brand new arena, a 5000-plus facility yet to be completed. With 18 points each, Matteo Bertolazzi (181-G-79) and Federico Ferrari (197-G-75) were the best scorers at the winning side, Mario Jose Ghersetti (200-F-81) added 15 and Lorenzo Panzini (185-G-90) 12. The game top performer, however, was Ariel Svoboda (192-G-85, agency: Players Group), who ended the game with 30 pts, 6 assits and 5 rebounds in a fantastic losing effort. Eveng being defeated in Final Series, Latina has now another chance to go to Lega 2, they will meet the winner of the Qualifying Series, between Virtus Siena and Casalpusterlengo (currently tied on 2-2), in the Second Final.
