Cagliari Dinamo Academy signs Justin Johnson
The rookie inks in Cagliari
Cagliari Dinamo Academy is glad to announce the reached agreement with the American player Justin Johnson, born in 1996 in Hazard, Kentucky, on May 23rd (6’7″ – 233,6 lbs), well-rounded athlete that can play as power forward or center.
In his senior year in Western Kentucky he played all 38 games, all-time record of the University’s history. After his freshman season, Johnson drove the team improving year by year his stats and becoming the first WKU’s player to override for three consecutive seasons in points and rebounds since the Seventies. He concluded the 2017-18 season as only active NCAA player with 1700 points and 1000 rebounds. The new arrival of Cagliari Dinamo Academy took also different personal rewards as reaching the NIT Final Four, the oldest American collegial tournament, and being in the first starting five of NABC in the Division One.
During his university career, he showed that he could play as 4 and 5, in the paint as well as outside the 3-pt line thanks to his offensive and athletics skills. That allows him to be a great also as defender and rebounder thanks to the physical combination, wingspan with a strong frame, and is unafraid to bang with bigger bodies. Justin Johnson completely corresponds to what the red-blue team was looking for.
“I’m exciting to be a part of the team and can’t wait to get there and get to work”, are the first words of Justin Johnson, new Cagliari Dinamo Academy #23, for his experience.
