AS Monaco re-signs Gerald Robinson
Robinson remains in Montecarlo
AS Monaco re-signed its top scorer from last season, Gerald Robinson, the club announced on Tuesday. Robinson (1.85 meters, 27 years old) averaged 15.9 points on 44.9% three-point shooting plus 3.2 assists in 32 French League games last season. He helped the club win the French Leaders Cup and reach the finals of the French League playoffs and the Basketball Champions League. This will be Robinson's third season in the EuroCup after averaging a combined 13.7 points for VEF Riga of Latvia and JSF Nanterre of France three and four seasons ago. He started his professional career with Stella Artois Leuven Bears of Belgium and also played for Altshuler Shaham Galil Gilboa before joining VEF. He helped VEF win the Latvian League title as the competition's top scorer (17.2 ppg.).
