Chris Tawiah signs with the Leicester Riders
Leicester Riders have signed British 6’10” Forward Chris Tawiah from BK Lions Jindrichuv Hradec in the Czech Republic
Leicester Riders have added to their frontcourt for the remainder of the BBL season second-year British pro Chris Tawiah providing a different dynamic and additional size inside with multiple players eligible for Commonwealth Games Team England selections due in the coming days.
Tawiah played basketball in the UK before attending Frank Phillips, Iowa Central Community College and then Wiley College. Chris Tawiah then was headed to the Czech Republic to begin his pro career and mid-way through his second season with BK Lions Jindrichuv Hradec was averaging 11.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per outing.
Tawiah joined the Riders in practice in the build up to the BBL Trophy as both parties worked to agree terms that will see the Milton Keynes native finish the season with the Riders.
