Glasgow Rocks have made their tenth signing of the summer after adding Great Britain international Joe Hart to the roster.
The 6’5” shooting guard featured 41 times for Newcastle in all competitions last season, averaging over 17 minutes per game.
At 24 years of age, Joe already has four years of professional basketball under his belt having spent three seasons in Spain.
His first two spells were with Peñas Huesca and ServiGroup Benidorm, but Joe was instrumental in Araberri Basket Club securing the championship in 2015-16, shooting 18 points in the final game to clinch victory in the play-off.
The Southend-born guard also won silverware at Newcastle last season, where they triumphed over the Rocks in the BBL Cup final, before losing to Leicester in the play-off championship final.
Graduating from Lakehead University in Canada, Joe gained his first full international cap in 2015 against New Zealand and captained Great Britain Under-20s at the European Championships in 2013.
He featured in Rocks colours last Sunday where he scored seven points against USA Select, and is hoping that a fruitful season in Glasgow will lead him back into international reckoning.
