Craig Osaikhwuwuomwan inks with Plymouth Raiders
The 27-year-old Power Forward/Centre has spent his first four professional seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie
Plymouth Raiders are delighted to announced our second signing of the summer in Dutch big man Craig Osaikhwuwuomwan.
The 27-year-old Power Forward/Centre has spent his first four professional seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie – Holland’s top flight – where last season he dominated the boards as the league’s top rebounder and will make his debut in the BBL for the new look Plymouth Raiders this coming season.
2016/17 was a breakthrough season for Osaikhwuwoumwan averaging 10.4ppg, 12rbs and 31 minutes per game.
Craig, who stands at a mighty 6’11, is the second player to sign for the all new Plymouth Raiders, joining Louis Sayers who was signed last week, and promises to bring flair and excitement to the team.
Raiders’ new signing Craig Osaikhwuwuomwan said: “I’m really looking forward to joining Plymouth Raiders and continuing what I’ve been doing, and that’s leading a league in rebounding. I will just do whatever is necessary to win and help the team. I’m excited for this new journey!”
Gavin Love, Head Coach for the Plymouth Raiders said: “It’s great to welcome Craig to Plymouth, I know he is looking forward to the season. He is a player who will bring energy to the team and a great character to the club. I’m sure he will be entertaining player this year and will soon become a firm fan favourite.”
Further announcements from Coach Love are expected this Friday as the Plymouth Raiders continue to build a brand-new team to challenge in the BBL in 2017/18.
