Aris Thessaloniki tabs Dimitris Tsaldaris
Il giocatore torna a Salonicco
Aris signed veteran swingman Dimitris Tsaldaris, who previously played three seasons for the club – including two in the Euroleague. Tsaldaris (1.94 meters, 31 years old) returns to his native Greece after playing for three clubs in Italy over the past two seasons. He also adds great experience to a roster that features plenty of young talent. After playing for Alimos, Peristeri and Panellinios early in his career, Tsaldaris first joined Aris in 2006. He started all 20 Euroleague games in his second season, during which he averaged 8.5 points as Aris came one win shy of reaching the quarterfinal playoffs. He was Aris’s second-leading scorer in the 2008-09 Eurocup with 14 points per game. That summer Tsaldaris went abroad and signed for Napoli in Italy. He also played for Montegranaro that season and suited up for Sassari last year, when he averaged 9.8 points in 34 games.
