Panathinaikos keeps Stratos Perperoglu

Turkish Airlines Euroleague reigning champion Panathinaikos reached a new agreement with small forward Stratos Perperoglou to stay together next season, the club announced Tuesday. Perperoglou (2.03 meters, 26 years old) averaged 7.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 22 Euroleague games with the Greens last season, in which he won the Greek League and the Euroleague titles with Panathinaikos. In his four seasons with the club, Perperoglou has won as many Greek League titles, got also two Greek Cups in 2008 and 2009 and above all, lifted another Euroleague trophy in 2009. He has also played for Panionios and Ilysiakos in his native Greece. Perperoglou is also a regular member of the Greek national team. He helped Greece to win the bronze medal at EuroBasket 2009, reached the 2010 FIBA World Championships semifinal and finished third at the 2003 World under-18 Championships.
