Olympiacos extends Georgios Printezis

Olympiacos BC reached a new agreement with versatile forward Georgios Printezis to extend his contract until the end of the 2011-12 season, the club announced Wednesday. Printezis (2.02 meters, 26 years old) rejoined the Reds in April and helped the win to win the Greek Cup and reach the Greek League finals. He started the 2010-11 season with Unicaja, averaging 5.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 14 Euroleague games last season. Printezis grew up with Asteras Agiou Dimirtriou and was signed by Olympiacos in 2000. He played there for six consecutive seasons, went to play for Olympia Larissa for one more only to return to the Reds' roster until summer 2008, when he joined Unicaja. He had Euroleague career-best averaged 11.7 points and 4.1 rebounds with Unicaja in the 2009-10 season. Printezis has been a member of the Greek national team and helped it to win the bronze medal at EuroBasket 2009.
