Angelopoulos brothers leave Olympiacos
La squadra del Pireo è in difficoltà economiche
Through an open letter, Angelopoulos brothers announced their depature from Olympiacos. The two brothers are the owner of the team from Piraeus who is living a difficult period due to huge financial problems (the society owe more than 4 million of euros to the players). By the way, the two brothers are not leaving the team for financial difficulties but for some contrast with the Greek Federation.
Angelopoulos, during their ownership, re-brought the Greek team to the highest levels in Europe but they were not able to win any big competition (as Euroleague).
Players like Papaloukas, Childress, Von Wafer, Kleiza, Teodosic and Spanoulis wore the jersey of Reds in the recent years.
Now all the players are on the market and may move to other teams in the summer.
