PAO released Jasikevicius

Panathinaikos did not exercise the clause in Jasikevicius's contract and released the Lithuanian star. This move doesn't mean that the career of Saras with PAO is over but it is a tactical maneuver to convince Jasikevicius to lower his demands for the future.

In the next days it is expected a new proposal for Jasikevicius from Panathinaikos. If the two parts won't find an agreement, Maccabi Tel Aviv is ready to bring Saras back to Israel.

Zeljko Obradovic has repeatedly asked from the club's management to keep the player while Jasikevicius himself is reluctant to leave Athens as his Greek partner is expecting a child very soon, thus does not want to be unsettled.
