Vassil Evtimov signs with Panionios

Bulgarian Vassil Evtimov has signed a contract with Panionios ON Telecoms Athens in the Greek A1 league. The 6’10” power forward / center has already experience in Greece, having played with Dafni Athens and Maroussi. He started last season in Bulgaria with Levski where averaged 15 ppg, grabbing 9.3 rebounds. Later he joined Trenkwalder Reggio Emilia in the Italian LegaDue, ending the season with Khimik-OPZ Yuzny in the Ukrainian Superleague.
Vassil played for three Euroleague teams in the past five years: Lottomatica Roma, Fortitudo Bologna and Olimpia Lubjana.
Vasil, also known as Vasco, has a younger brother, Ilian, who plays for Ael Limassol in Cyprus.
