The Greek forward announced his decision with an open letter
Antonis Fotsis, who left Panathinaikos, won’t play professional basketball anymore.
The experienced Greek forward wrote a letter in which he announced that his basketball career won’t stop now but he will play at amateur level with Ilysiakos, the team where he has started his “journey”.
“I don’t want to continue playing professional basketball in any other Greek or European club. But for me basketball doesn’t end here. I will continue to play on an amateur level and I have decided to play in Ilysiakos. I leave behind me the championships but I will continue my favorite sport as long as my heart says” Fotsis said.
