Olympiacos' Daniel Hackett done for the season with leg injury
Hackett out six months with leg injury
Olympiacos Piraeus will have to face the rest of the season without a key performer, combo guard Daniel Hackett, who will miss the next six months with a leg injury, the club announced Tuesday. Hackett (1.97 meters, 28 years old) suffered a detached femur tendon late in the team's Turkish Airlines EuroLeague home win last week against Unics Kazan. In his second season with Olympiacos, the experienced guard was averaging 5.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 14 minutes per game as one of the go-to defenders for the Reds. After undergoing medical tests, the worst results were confirmed for Hackett, who must undergo surgery to repair the damage.
