Xavi Pascual is unlikely to become the new head coach of Panathinaikos.
The Spanish was the front runner for PAO’s head coaching job but he requested a rich three-year contract and the negotiations fell apart, as reported by Spor24.
The same Greek website reports that Luca Banchi is the main candidate now to replace Argyrys Pedoulakis.
Banchi has coached Olimpia Milano till June 2015 and won the Serie A championship with Mens Sana and EA7 as head coach.
Sasa Obradovic is another candidate for the position.
