Panathinaikos new head coach Sasha Djordjevic wants Dimitris Diamantidis to play beyond this season.
The Greek point guard announced his retirement at the end of the 2015-2016 campaign.
Per Ethnos (via Eurohoops): “Diamantidis enjoys playing basketball and we will enjoy this with him this season. We will do our best to help him have a great season so as to reverse his initial decision next summer. My message to him is : “Diamantidis, don’t leave”! This will be one of our targets! To convince him to change his decision! We will see, though, what will happen next summer.”
