Kostas Sloukas announced his departure from Olympiacos after seven years.
The Greek guard is now headed to Fenerbahce where he will sign a two-year contract.
His farewell letter:
I fought with my thoughts and my emotions and I end up to the decision that in this particular moment the best for me as a player and my future is to continue away from Olympiacos. It is a decision that had to do only to sports criterias.
I didn't want the whole story to become a serial (series). I didn't want and I never put olympiacos to an auction.
I neved doubted the love of Aggelopoulos' family, who they gave me more than enough in 7 years and I don't want anybody to doubt that I appreciate and I respect the presidents and Mr. Konstantinos Aggelopoulos.
I believed in 7 straight years, in every practice, in every game I gave everything (with my body and my soul) for the team and I want to believe I put a small stone to Olympiacos' success.
I keep all the beautiful moments I had with my teammates and my coaches, with the staff, with every member of this big family. To them I felt the need to explain my decision. I did it with respect and honesty that these people deserve.
