The Greek derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos was suspended with less than 2’ on the final buzzer when Greens fans attacked the Reds bench.

Olympiacos was winning the game 77-64 when Spanoulis, after a three-pointer, put his hands close to the ears watching the fans of OAKA’s Gate 13 like saying them "I can't hear you anymore"

Spanoulis got a technical foul but in the next timeout Olympiacos players had to rush out of the court because Panathinaikos supporters started to throw objects.

Spanoulis after the game (via Eurohoops): “I didn’t swear, on the contrary I am hearing many things at OAKA. On the heat of the moment I did that gesture. Those who have to regret about something are those who are cursing families and children”.

Panathinaikos’ Dimitris Giannakopoulis, already fined more than €100k by the Euroleague for threatening the referees, attacked Spanoulis (via Eurohoops): “A nobody who came to OAKA 25 times and has left with head low can’t do such things. What he wanted to demonstrate? Why he showed us his ears. I am asking Prime Minister Mr. Tsipras and the deputy minister of sports mr. Kodonis to punish him in order to set an example. Spanoulis doesn’t have a place in Greece and in basketball. He wanted to provoke us”.

Olympiacos posted a video on Youtube where you can hear a voice threatening Spanoulis in the locker room.
