AEK Athens reportedly interested in Zoran Planinic

After the big additions of Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Ioannis Athinaiou and Malik Hairston, AEK Athens is making a strong push to find an agreement with Zoran Planinic, as reported by AekArena.

The perception is that it won't be easy to find an agreement. Planinic is "prisoner" of a huge contract (Euros 1.300.000) with Anadolu Efes. The Turkish team tried to find a deal to part ways, but Planinic rejected the offer and remained sidelined by coach Dusan Ivkovic.

Before inking with another team Planinic must break the contract with Efes, something that until now was not possible.

Last season Planinic averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
