Panathinaikos agreed to terms with Julian Wright who will be in Athens early next week.
The former NBA big man has to pass a tryout period before signing with the Greens.
Wright spent last season with Krasnye Krylya Samara averaging 15.6 points and 10.3 rebounds.
Wright has also played in Israel with Maccabi Rishon LeZion scoring 15.7 points and grabbing 9 rebounds per game.
The big man has played 231 contests in the NBA averaging 3.9 points and 2.3 rebounds with New Orleans and Toronto.
