PAOK Thessaloniki extends Dedas and Charalampidis
The players sign till 2016
PAOK Thessaloniki extended contracts with a pair of its veterans, announcing on Thursday that forward Georgios Dedas and guard Kostas Charalampidis signed deals that will keep them with the club through the 2015-16 season. For Charalampidis (1.89 meters, 38 years old) this will be the third consecutive season with PAOK. As a starter last season, he averaged 9.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 10 Eurocup games. He has a total of five full Eurocup seasons under his belt, and has reached Eurocup finals with Makedonikos in 2005 and Panellinios in 2010. He also played in the competition with Maroussi and Aris. During his career he also wore the uniform of Greek teams Larissa and KAO Dramas, as well as Brindis in Italy.
Dedas (2.00 meters, 34 years old) has spent three of the past four seasons with PAOK. He averaged 4.2 points coming off the bench in 10 Eurocup games last season. He previously also played for MENT, Iraklis and AGOR in Greece, as well as Lugo, Beirasar and Caceres in Spain.
