Panathinaikos announces AJ Slaughter
The player signed for two years
Panathinaikos Athens has added talent to its backcourt with the signing on Wednesday of guard A.J. Slaughter for the next two seaons. Slaughter (1.91 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Elan Chalon of France, for whom he averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 10 Eurocup games last season. He was the French League runner-up in scoring with 17.6 points and fifth with 4.6 assists over 30 games in that competition. It was Slaughter’s second season in France after playing the previous season for Cholet Basket. Slaughter previously suited up for Belfius Mons-Hainaut in Belgium and Angelico Biella in Italy. Though he has played a total of 22 Eurocup games for three teams over four seasons, Slaughter is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with the Green.
