Giorgi Shermadini: I am free agent but I hope to return to Olympiacos

Big man Giorgi Shermadini in a video interview on One with David Pick said that he is free agent after Maccabi Tel Aviv broke the contract. Shermadini finished the season with Olympiacos winning Euroleague and he hopes to return to the Reds.

"Maccabi Tel Aviv informed by agent that the contract with them is cancelled. Now I am free agent. I hope to stay with Olympiacos. I really hope to return there" said Shermadini who added that his former teammate in Israel, Lior Eliyahu is ready to play in the NBA. "He is ready for the NBA. He can play high level basketball" added Shermadini.

The NBA rights of Eliyahu are held by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
