Panathinaikos keep Ramel Curry

Panathinaikos Athens reached a new agreement with scoring guard Ramel Curry to stay together for a full season, the club announced Wednesday. Curry (1.92 meters, 33 years old) joined Panathinaikos in May to help the team in the last two games of the Greek League regular season and the playoffs. He averaged 12.1 points and 2.2 assists in 10 games and helped the Greens to conquer yet another Greek League title. Curry started the 2012-13 season with Ukrainian powerhouse BC Donetsk, averaging 14.8 points and 3 rebounds in 6 Eurocup games. He previously played for Azovmash Mariupol in Ukraine, Erdemirspor Belediyesi in Turkey, Scavolini Spar Pesaro and Air Avellino in Italy, Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel, Constituyentes de San Cristobal in the Dominican Republic, Austin and Columbus in the NBA Development League, Cocodrilos de Caracas in Venezuela, Long Beach in the ABA, Tijuana Tazmania Diablos in Mexico, Yakima in the CBA and Oklahoma in the USBL. He lifted the Ukrainian League trophy twice - with Azovmash in 2010 and with Donetsk in 2012 - and he helped Hapoel to win the Israeli Cup title in 2008.
