Cedevita wins game-5 against Cibona to celebrate A-1 Liga title
Cedevita completes the comeback to won the championship number 4 in a row
It's again KK Cedevita the champion of Croatia, with the 3-2 win in the Zagreb derby series against KK Cibona. After the victory of the Krešimir Ćosić Cup and the defeat in the ABA Liga finals the team of coach Mršić won for the fourth consecutive time the Croatian championship. Across for Cibona there is another final lost, 4 in the last 4 seasons.
After a really balanced regular season (4th place for Cibona 20-6, 6th place for Cedevita 18-8) the champions won the playoff series against Jolly and Split, while Cibona reached the finals with the victories on Zadar and Sibenik. Cedevita dominated game-4 and won away the decisive game-5, 78-75 with the comeback in the series from 1-2.
Ryan Boatright named MVP of the Finals with 22pts in the last game of the year. Really important also the efforts of Kruslin, Bilan, Tomas and of the young talent Musa. Not enough across the performances of Zoric, Reynolds, Rozic and Sakic.
