A-1 Liga: Cedevita is the champion for third time in a row
Perfect victory in the Zagreb derby against Cibona
Cedevita Zagreb won again the Croatian Championship beating with a clear 3-0 Cibona Zagreb in the final series, winning the third consecutive title.
Cibona, that this season reached the FIBA Europe Cup quarterfinals, lost the third final of the last three years, while Cedevita won the second trophy of the season after the succes in the National Cup.
No surpirse during the semifinals, with the elimination of Kvarner and Zadar. Cedevita closed as best team the regular season (13-1 record), winning without defeats the derby of Zagreb: 87-76, 97-83 and 84-77 the victories to assign the title to the men of coach Mrsic.
Too strong Cedevita, dragged to the final succes by the great finals of Babic and Bilan, thanks to the talent of Arapovic and the experience of White, Pullen, Gordic and Zoric. Not were enough for Cibona the performances of Siriscevic, the effort of Zicic and the help from Hukic, Rozic and Joksimovic. Not a great pffensive work in final for James Florence, after a 19ppg season.
