Leonardo Gutierrez, in the Penarol's winner against Boca Juniors, set the new three pointer record. The Argentinean player scored 15 shots 'from downtown' out of 22 attempts. He finished the game with 70% from behind the arch.
He passed the previous record that was made by a Penarol player in 1997. Leonardo Zanassi, 13 years ago, scored 13 shots.
In NBA the record is held by Kobe Bryant with 12 shots made in one game in the season 2003-04.
